Due to the ever-increasing demand and growth in popularity of electricity consuming resources, there are several challenges power grid operators need to face. Electricity is a powerful thing and in order to use its benefits, it is necessary that the amount of electricity in the grid corresponds with actual consumption needs. - The threats for any business can be factors which can negatively impact its growth and reputation in the market. Number of factors like increased competitor activity, changing government policies, alternate products or services etc. are the some of the major impacting elements in a government-led organization. The company turned towards Qlik Sense when it came to applying advanced visual analytics in their business for accurate insights to walk hand-in-hand with the current dynamics.
- Qlik provides daily detailed reports about the overall health of the Outage management that includes the performances of transmission lines to get maximum availability and negate the use of trapping lines. This enabled closely monitoring Outage events and correlation of these events with factors affecting on outages. Another big factor directly contributing to the increased outage time were the equipment health and that problem was solved too with analyzing the aging equipment performances and parking required budget to the replacement wave.
- Along with machines, our approach took care of the human aspects for the company too. Right from exploring and analyzing employee-level costs and variations in hospital and non-hospital claims, to smooth transfer of reimbursement amount in less time. We also worked on the internal functional departments like Sales & Marketing, Human Resource, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement providing a view of the overall performance of the company.
- Commercial Billing is taken care with various elements like Monthly reports, Prioritizing Customers, License management and Map analysis. These reports provided comprehensive information regarding billing amount, dues by customer of every region, one glance view of collected amount, performance of different licenses and regional business with map color coding.
- Visual representation of the analysis for various Accrual Capital Expenditure were included in the regular reports. The reports gave clear picture around the Profit Centers, Risk Factors, expenditure updates, Project planning, Project progress management, Monitoring the resources and future investments.
- The 360-degree view of the business assisted the management to analyze and improve the ecosystem of the company.
